Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School 2015:
July 13-17, 9 a.m.-noon
Ages: 3 years old (and potty trained) through 3rd grade

This year's Vacation Bible School program, “Message Received: Hearing God’s Call,” offers an opportunity for children from age 3-grade 3 to learn how God called the prophet Samuel, Queen Esther, Mary the mother of Jesus, the disciples, and Lydia, a supporter of Paul, to serve. People are called to love God and follow Jesus every day. This program lets children know that God continues to call all kinds of people—including them!

This year Vacation Bible School will run from Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17 beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at noon each day. Rotating among classrooms that emphasize projects, games, music, drama and crafts that reflect these biblical stories, children will hear how God calls us to listen and respond, to work together for what is right, to trust God’s plan, to follow Jesus and to open our hearts and lives to him. Each day will conclude with a worship service. A special part of that worship service will be an offering of art supplies from children here for children in the Dominican Republic, and at Peter Paul Development Center and Fairfield Court Elementary School. Each year the generosity of St. Stephen’s children and their families during Vacation Bible School has provided support for a variety of mission and outreach projects.

The cost for Vacation Bible School is $50 for one child for the week, $75 for two children, and $100 for three or more children. If the cost is a barrier to your child's participation, please be in touch with Mary Sulerud.
