Prayer Shawl Ministry

Each Wednesday evening following the Wonderful Wednesdays supper, parishioner gathers in the lounge to participate in a special ministry of knitting, prayer and fellowship. Prayer shawls are knitted for distribution to those in our parish who have an extended illness or who may benefit from the touch of this loving endeavor. Several times each year, we gather up the prayer shawls and bless them in church before they are distributed by the clergy to those who are ill, recuperating, shut in or who would otherwise benefit from a tangible expression of God's love and care--and ours.

This is an all-ages activity, and you may participate with the group on Wednesdays, or by knitting on your own at home. Don't know how to knit? Come to the Wednesday gathering, and others will show you how.
