Farmers Market

The Farmers Market @ St. Stephen's is open on Saturdays YEAR ROUND.
In the winter, the market is held in the fellowship halls, 9 a.m. - noon. We'll remain indoors until spring

The Farmers Market at St. Stephen's seeks to connect our choices about the foods we buy and eat to our call to be stewards of God's creation, as we build community and support local farmers.    
In keeping with our commitment to environmental stewardship, St. Stephen's Church hosts a Farmers Market on Saturdays year-round.
The Market's goals include:
  • connecting God’s call to environmental stewardship to the foods we eat, stewardship of resources, and reducing the carbon footprint of what we eat;
  • building community by providing the city of Richmond and our local neighborhood with a healthy way to gather and connect with each other on a regular basis;
  • educating patrons with practical ways to maintain the connection with the sources of their food; and
  • helping fill the growing demand for fresh, locally grown and prepared foods in Richmond.

Season SEVEN of the Farmers Market begins!
We are thrilled about the seventh season of our outdoor Farmers Market. While our emphasis continues to be on local farmers and producers, we allow vendors to sell some items provided by other producers, as long as the origins of these products are clearly and fully disclosed. Our goals are quality and transparency. One of the things we value most about our market is your ability to speak directly with the farmer or producer of your food, and learn all you can about how it was grown.
During the spring, summer and fall, the Market offers live music, activities for children, cooking demonstrations and much more. In the winter, we are open every Saturday -- just indoors.
