St. Stephen's Episcopal Church
Sunday, April 20, 2014
There's a place for you here.
St. Stephen's Church is a congregation of more than 4,100 people representing a variety of experiences and backgrounds, liturgical styles and theological viewpoints. Ours is the largest parish church in the Diocese of Virginia -- the largest and one of the oldest dioceses in the Episcopal Church.
It can be easy to feel lost in a congregation this size, and we provide a variety of ways for you to become engaged in parish life: to be fed by daily worship, small group ministry and Christian education; to be supported through fellowship and pastoral care; and to be led to exercise your vocation as a Christian by engaging in outreach locally, nationally or internationally.
We invite you to explore the pages of our Web site to learn more about these opportunities, and we hope that you will feel welcomed and encouraged to take part.
On behalf of the rector, the Rev. Gary Jones, the vestry, staff and people of St. Stephen's, welcome.
