Lessons this Week |
The Lectionary - the listing of the lessons we read in church each week - is found in the Book of Common Prayer beginning on page 888. We are currently in Year B of the cycle for the Eucharist; beginning with the first Sunday in Advent, December 5, 2006, we will be in Year C of the lectionary cycle. The lessons we use during the Daily Office (Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer), alternate between Year One and Year Two. We are currently in Year Two, and will begin Year One on the first Sunday of Advent. The simplest way to see the lessons for each week is to visit a Web site called the Lectionary Page. |
