Lay Visitors

Do you like to visit folks? Join our Lay Visitors. The Lay Visitors of our parish are an essential element in keeping homebound parishioners connected to all of us. This team has faithfully visited a revolving list of 30 to 40 people through the years. Visits are to private homes, assisted living and healthcare units. Each team visitor serves for two months per year. The rotation now means that one member would see 7- 8 persons per month.

The Monthly team meets the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. (beginning in the fall). We gather for prayer, assignments, reporting, training and mutual care around the responsibilities we encounter. During the school year, with our new meeting time, we can stay for Wednesday night dinners at the Church! Lay chairperson Tommy Scales works with the Rev. Weezie Blanchard, the clergy coordinator. Call Weezie to explore this opportunity for ministry. Our homebound members would love to see your face!
