St. Stephen's Friends

St. Stephen's Friends provide a connection of care-a brigade of love! The Rev. Weezie Blanchard works with a group of adult parishioners who are known as St. Stephen's Friends. Individuals within the Friends are responsible for only one task: A caring relationship with one person in our church who would benefit from old-fashioned friendship. You don't have to have special training. The time involved is minimal: perhaps only 30 minutes per month, or 20 minutes per week for a short-term need. With a simple monthly phone call or an email to Weezie, you can report any needs you might discover. We have a range of situations that need your warm heart, contagious smile or gracious touch. Which of these commitments best suits your personality and your schedule? Whether you are 85 or 25, consider the category in which you believe you can be a St. Stephen's Friend ! We anticipate initiating our care efforts in October, and you could be assigned your person as needs arise in the parish. Thank you for your help in beginning this caring connection!
