Local Outreach Efforts
St.
Stephen's is invested, in terms of leadership of, volunteer activity in, and financial
assistance to, in a number of agencies that provide a variety of services in the
metropolitan Richmond area. Principal in our commitment is to the East End of
Richmond and its children and elderly, as seen in our involvement in Fairfield
Court Elementary School and the Peter-Paul Development Center. For information,
call Thomas Parrish or Deb Lawrence.
Opportunities to get involved
Numerous opportunities for you to be directly involved in our efforts in the East End are available. For a listing, visit the main Outreach page.
"Fruit
Loops" is a ministry through which St. Stephen's parishioners deliver fresh
fruit to elderly residents of one of Richmond's federally-subsidized housing communities.
Volunteers meet every Monday morning at 8:30 in Fellowship Hall to bag the fruit,
then set out together to deliver it.
