Belonging

Membership

Becoming a member
When you tell us that you want to become a member, we consider you a member from that point on. If you are joining St. Stephen's from another denomination, you may simply state that you wish to be a member and participate fully in the life of this parish. If you are baptized, confirmed or received by the bishop here you become a member. If you are already a baptized and/or confirmed member of another Episcopal church we will be happy to ask your former church for a letter of transfer. We are aware that many people who attend our services come from other churches and denominations and we are delighted to have you consider St. Stephen's your second church. For more information call or email Janet Allen (288-2867, ext.305).

What members do
We expect that you will want to worship regularly, join with others on their spiritual journey in the form of small groups or Christian education classes, participate in the service of others through a variety of outreach opportunities, and return to God a portion of the blessings you have received during the Every Member Canvass in the fall.
